Is it a good idea to merge the DOL and the Department of Education?
How do you think a merger between the DOL and the Department of Education affect workplace design? On the one hand, with artificial intelligence drastically changing the way we work, having one department that can help clearly define roadmaps encompassing the full employment cycle from education to retirement, would be a great idea. This merger can help create a shift in education policy, and ensure education reform that can tackle the future challenges of an ever evolving labor market. But as we very well know, changes like this don’t come without their own set of unique problems. Partisanship, differences in ideology, and lack of a clear focus and leadership can also create many obstacles, potentially creating a bigger problem than a solution.
