What to do to ensure your company is protecting diversity in the workplace.

In the wake of last week’s events in Charlottesville, it is imperative to assess your company’s code of conduct to ensure your company is protected in case action against employees who do not align with your company’s values and conduct guidelines needs to be taken. It is our responsibility as HR leaders to ensure ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES are safe and that diversity in the workplace is being respected. As we know, diversity is what has made this country great. Diversity in the workplace is indispensable for innovation and progress to take place. We as employers and HR leaders have to send a clear message to our employees letting them know they are protected, and that racism and divisive rhetoric will not be tolerated in the work place.
